Polymathes Consulting brings together three seasoned professionals whose experience crosses leadership, organizational culture, business, research, education, strategy, design, and the creation of human-centered experiences. Chidimma Abuka, Ph.D., Thomas McMahon, Ed.D., and Alvin Oei bring perspectives shaped by global organizations, Fortune 500 environments, entrepreneurship, higher education, and the design of experiences that connect people to place and purpose.
Together, we combine scholarly insight with real-world practice to help organizations navigate complexity, strengthen leadership and culture, and create experiences that are meaningful to the people they serve. Because today's challenges rarely fit within a single discipline, neither do we.

Thomas McMahon, Ed.D.
Dr. McMahon has spent more than three decades leading brands, teams, and business growth across public, private, and family-owned organizations.
His career has included leadership roles with globally recognized companies such as PepsiCo, Activision Blizzard, Starbucks Coffee Company, and Grocery Outlet, where he helped shape strategy, merchandising, and organizational performance.
Rooted in executive leadership and brand development, his work combines business insight with a passion for building strong teams and creating value. From global corporations to entrepreneurial ventures, he believes sustainable growth begins with people, purpose, and execution.
Beyond his professional coaching practice, Tom volunteers with veteran organizations, helping veterans and their families navigate the transition to military life.

Chidimma A. Abuka, Ph.D.
Dr. Abuka has built her career at the intersection of leadership, learning, and the built environment, helping organizations navigate complexity through research, strategy, and collaborative engagement.
Her work has contributed to projects and initiatives for organizations including Gensler, Allergan, Movado Group, Disney ESPN, and Star Trac, spanning design, education, sustainability, and organizational strategy.
As a strategist, researcher, educator, and design professional, she is passionate about connecting people, ideas, and systems to create meaningful impact. The disciplines may differ. The purpose remains the same.
Outside of her professional practice, she co-leads Living Future's Educators for Regenerative Thinking Community, a global hub dedicated to cultivating regenerative dialogue.
Learning Consultant
Alvin Oei
Mr. Oei has spent his career at the intersection of space & story, designing narratives that people can step into. Today, he serves as one of the design leads at Disney Consumer Products, shaping global retail experiences. Rooted in architecture, his path led him through Spatial Experience Design at ArtCenter and time abroad in Berlin and Chile, shaping a design sensibility that is both globally informed and deeply human.
From award-winning visitor attractions to reimagining Disney Stores worldwide, his work spans continents and contexts, always grounded in the belief that good design should feel human first.
Outside of his day job, he leads CMD+Y, a nonprofit rooted in community storytelling. The spaces change. The purpose doesn't.
